IT’S NUT VS. NUT — AND ONLY ONE WILL WIN
HOW TO PLAY

Each player gets 5 nuts of the same color.

Alternate turns sliding your nuts to the edge of the table.

Knocking your opponent’s nuts off the table isn’t just allowed, it’s part of the strategy.

Closest nut to the edge scores 1 point. Add 1 more for each of your nuts closer than your opponent’s closest. First to 5 wins!

TEAM PRESTO OR TEAM WALLY? WHO ARE YOU?
It’s nut vs. nut in this fast-paced sliding game of precision, chaos, and controlled smackdowns. Pick your nut, line up your shot, and slide to the edge or knock the competition right off the table. Here's how to play Jason’s Nuts like a pro:
STEP 1: Choose Your Nut
Every player picks a set of 5, same colored nut-shaped game pieces — one of each type:
- Pecan – unpredictable and slippery
- Almond – sleek, stylish, and likes to live on the edge
- Walnut – solid and strong, built for knockouts
- Filbert – small and sneaky, hard to read
- Brazil Nut – steady and strategic
Each nut has a different shape and weight, meaning they all slide (and misbehave) differently on the table. Choose wisely and plan your order — the biggest nut might just be your best closer.
STEP 2: Aim & Slide
2-Player Version: OppoNUTS sit on the same side of your flat surface. Players take turns sliding one nut at a time toward the opposite edge (the "threshold").
Rules for sliding:
- Slide underhand — no flicking, no tossing.
- You can grip, nudge, or launch with flair — just keep it clean and smooth.
- It’s all about control and chaos in equal measure.
You can play with or without a designated catcher, but be prepared to chase runaway nuts if you go without.
STEP 3: Knock ’Em Off!
This is where it gets nutty. On your turn, you can aim directly at your opponent’s nut and knock it:
- Out of first place position
- Completely off the table
- Into oblivion (not officially in the rules, but still impressive)
Strategic players will hold back a bruiser (hi Wally!) to deliver that final blow.
STEP 4: Score and Win
After all 10 nuts (5 per player/team) have been played, score the round:
- 1 point goes to the player with the closest nut to the edge.
- Bonus points for each additional nut you have that's closer than your opponent's closest nut.
Example: You have 3 nuts closer than your opponent's best? You get 3 points that round.
First to 5 (or 10, or whatever you agree on) wins. Just don’t play to 100 unless you’ve got snacks and no bedtime.
Advanced Play Tips
- Team Play (4 Players): Sit across from your teammate and alternate rounds toward each end of the table. Combine scores to win as a team.
- Tournaments: Set up a bracket, assign nut personas, and let the chaos decide who’s the Ultimate Nut-Slinger.
- House Rules: Want to create your own table edge bonuses or penalties? Go nuts.
Play Surfaces
You can play Jason’s Nuts anywhere you’ve got a flat, slide-friendly space — but some surfaces make the chaos even better.

Includes 10 nuts, play anywhere,
fun for all ages.
